Emma & James
The ocean calls! Set against the stunning backdrop of a private beach at the The St. Regis Langkawi, this destination wedding was a romantic ode to nature—complete with flirty fleurs, fresh tropical fruits, playful colors, sheer runners, feminine bows, and delicate glassware.
We adored incorporating airy, lightweight textiles that added subtle drama to the setting. Soft drapings fluttered in the coastal breeze, billowing by the shore in harmony with the gentle energy of the waves and wind—nature’s own music playing throughout their celebration.
A Tricky Setup: Behind the Scenes
Outstation and beach weddings like Emma and James’s always come with their fair share of challenges. Working under the island’s scorching sun, keeping our blooms fresh and vibrant was crucial. With the nearest prep area located quite a distance from the beach, we had to factor in extra time and logistics for transporting every detail back and forth.
All wedding props were specially brought in from Kuala Lumpur, and our fresh seasonal flowers were flown in directly for the occasion—navigating customs clearance added another layer of complexity. But it was all worth it.
Sculptural Florals & Seamless Design
The beachside ceremony featured sculptural floral pillars crafted entirely from fresh seasonal blooms. These stunning florals made a second appearance at the evening reception, where they were artfully repurposed to carry the design language throughout the day.
Every detail of Emma and James’s beach wedding spoke to their vision of love: natural, playful, and deeply elegant. From the gentle textures of the fabrics to the thoughtful placement of petals in the sand, it was a celebration both intimate and unforgettable.
